COVID-19 AND CONTACT CENTRE AND BACK WORKERS

THIS RESEARCH MAY SAVE LIVES – PLEASE, PLEASE HELP

Health and safety experts and trade union are worried because of hazards in contact centres - insufficient social distancing, hotdesking, lifts, poor sanitisation, heating and ventilation systems in open-plan offices. Alongside bad practice there is good practice we must learn from. We need hard data to make a difference and to make you safe.

I am Phil Taylor, Professor of Work and Employment at University of Strathclyde. I have researched contact centre working conditions for 25 years. My work has always tried to improve working conditions, but this is my most important study ever.

You can be assured of complete confidentiality. No names will be quoted, nothing identifying you included. Ethics - completing the survey indicates consent. I alone will access the data. Reports will aggregate findings, highlighting problems needing immediate action.

We need as many call-handlers as possible to complete as soon as you can.
